A True Pioneer

The first beer I decided to review from my first Flavourly box was The Pioneer, a rakau-hopped pale ale, (4.0%) brewed @flavourlyhq.

A rich golden colour with a thin, white head. A rather effervescent beer to start with, The Pioneer loses a slight bit of carbonation the further down the beer you go.

On the nose, The Pioneer has notes of caramel, chocolate, along with zesty citrus notes like lime. As well as the zestiness, The Pioneer is rich with malty notes from the marris otter pale malt. Upon first taste, the beer is smooth and sweet with a lingering and rich mouthfeel. The Pioneer has a distinct tanginess from the rakau hops, with amazingly smooth flavours of caramel, chocolate, similar to the flavour of caramac!

I would like to thank @flavourlyhq, not only for creating such a beautifully clean and flavoursome beer but for also creating an amazing concept, that is basically the beer lovers equivalent to graze!
