Hoppy Little number from the Firth

I’m an aim to get my shopping bill down a bit it started shopping in Aldi; this is where I found @arranbrewery‘s Guid Ale (3.8%). A beer and brewery that I’d never heard of, I truly didn’t know what to expect from this beer!

As can be seen, Guid Ale is a deep golden coloured beer that has a substantial and creamy white head. On the nose, this ale has a beautifully hoppy and perfumed floral note to it, reminiscent of a well made IPA.

Upon first taste, Guid Ale is a clean and refreshing in flavour with striking flavours of oak wood, toffee and hints of almond but without being short of a significant presence on the palette for a while after. Light mellow, light oily and soft low carbonation.

A truly fine beer brewed from natural ingredients, definitely a refreshing session ale that would be perfect for any hot summers day! I can’t wait to see what more they have to offer!
