An IPA of sorts

Irish Peated Ale (IPA)by Revisionist (Marston’s master craft ale team). This one had me stumped for the first half, with is really smokey flavour, which at some points was reminiscent of Mediterranean-esque cuisine, this ale is a truly acquired taste. Something this beer does well is its malty-burnt caramel aftertaste, which lingers nicely on the palette for a while after drinking.

For me, it’s not a session ale but can be enjoyed as a leisurely pint on a cold, wet April day.
